$16.25 per hour (contractual position no benefits)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs.
General knowledge of materials and methods used in preparing and serving food on a large scale
General knowledge of the use or care of food preparation equipment
Skill in the use of standardized and specialized kitchen utensils and equipment
Ability to communicate effectively using the English language when deemed necessary.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules food preparation instructions and menus
Knowledge of health and sanitation regulations for food preparation
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates students and school staff
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and serving breakfast lunch and nutrition breaks to the student population.
Prepare cook and serve nutritious foods in accordance with the menu and ala carte food items.
Receive and stock food sanitary conditions.
May serve as cashier.
Operate dishwasher mixer chopper slicer steamers ovens and other food service and mechanical equipment.
Prepare and serve the portable food bars where appropriate.
Clean and prepare food and equipment in compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations.
Follow standards of safety in preparing storing and serving food.
Wash cooking equipment and utensils.
Perform related work as required
