Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for
- Managing the work deliverables to meet program and business needs
- Work closely with global stakeholders and develop the roadmap for MRI engineering team
- Provide functional leadership to the team including recruitment team/talent development skill set improvement and mentoring
- Responsible for resource assignment and prioritization
- Instill a rigorous approach to customer centric development software quality and common software development
- Drive the team for excellence and to adopt modern software industry practices for optimal software machine
- Collaborate with global partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent strategy and for business priorities
- Represent engineering team on different forums and in leadership updates
- Foster a culture built on GE Healthcare values
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum 15 years of experience in software industry
- 10 years of professional experience in software development
- 5 of professional experience as software manager or program manager
Must have skills:
- Rich experience in Full stack software development using Java and UI technologies Microservices architecture platform software development and product engineering
- Good experience with modern software development practices including agile software methodologies CI/CD test automation and software tools
- Handson Technical and Technology Leadership
- Proven ability to work with crossfunctional teams
- Demonstrated project leadership skills and people management skills in current or previous roles
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities Ability to motivate and inspire team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and influencing skills Ability to gain buyin for initiatives Drive innovation culture in the team
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously balancing resources timing and quality of outcomes
Desired skills
- Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Experience in Healthcare Software Development
