Job Summary
Drawing on a broad understanding of Home Hospital practices and policies and displaying a high degree of initiative and independent judgment the Rehab at Home MA will help to care for patients by assisting clinicians with daily clinical tasks such as providing patient education responding to patient requests taking vital signs assisting with physical therapy exercises and facilitating communications between patients family caregivers providers and outside agencies. The incumbent will work in tandem with a team of geriatricians nurses and physical therapists and receive general direction from the Principal Investigator and Project Manager. The MA will support patient care in the Rehab at Home randomized control trial in which patients receive Skilled Nursing Facility level care in their own homes. The role is temporary fulltime.Qualifications

Qualifications
Applicants should have interest in geriatrics and basic knowledge of common medical conditions with two years of clinical experience as an MA.

Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology procedures and protocols Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
Managing ones own time.
Experience
:
2 Years work experience in medical setting ideally outpatient
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

BLS Certification
