OnsiteCollins Aerospace in Fairfield CA is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of 2nd Shift Lead/Process Operator Technician Propulsion Systems business of Collins Aerospace specializes in designing manufacturing and testing various energetic devices. Our products include system components that ensure the safe ejection of pilots from fighter jets and helicopters. Our team creates a diverse range of cartridgeactuated devices propellantactuated devices and linear devices that support military and commercial applications with pride.
Our facility manufactures and tests explosive propellant and cartridgeactuated devices. Compensation and Benefits:
$31.96 per hour starting rate 1.5x per hour after 8 hours per day)
$1.85 Shift Differential for 2nd Shift
Paid vacation & and sick time

Schedule:
This position is for 2nd shift.
Monday Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Overtime is available and/or mandatory on a business need basis.
What Youll Do:
Responsible for performing machine operations and fabrication of energetics.
Comply with all rules and regulations of the company including but not limited to Environmental Health and Safety Ethics International Trade Compliance and Human Resources. Examines methods and results for conformance to standards and reinstructs as required.
Report to supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
Acquire applicable skills/knowledge/certifications as required.
Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events as required.
Determine methods and procedures.
Run meetings update Tier Boards / CORE MPS and assign workload to team members on a daily basis.
Be a subject matter expert proficient in closing work orders issuing parts and prepping orders to EOP.
Speak to cell needs and issues during meetings in the supervisors absence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a HS Diploma (or equivalent e.g. GED in the U.S. or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
Experience in supervising/mentoring a team.
Qualifications We Prefer
Minimum 1 year of explosive or chemical manufacturing or handling experience.
Two years energetic materials processing manufacturing and/or assembly experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)

*The salary range for this role is $31.96 to $43.24 however RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills
