ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF SUPPORT SERVICES
JOB DESCRIPTION
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. 240 day contract 12 month).
2. Job Type: Licensed District Level Administrator.
3. Reports to: Superintendent of Schools.
4. Salary based on district Licensed Salary Schedule for the position.
5. FLSA Status: Exempt.
6. 10 days vacation per year of employment.
7. 12 days sick leave per year of employment.
8. 3 days personal leave per year.
Job Summary:
The position of Assistant Superintendent of Support Services is responsible for overseeing the districts support operations ensuring that all services are effectively managed to enhance the educational experience of students. The role requires collaboration with various departments to maintain high standards of safety efficiency and quality across the district.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Appropriate valid Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) License for
the position.
2. Masters Degree in educational leadership administration or a related
field.
3. Proven experience in school or districtlevel leadership.
4. Strong knowledge of operations school safety employment law and
federal and state laws pertaining to education.
5. Excellent problemsolving communication positive outlook and teambuilding skills.
GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):
2. Supervise maintenance and facilities operations ensuring buildings and grounds are well kept.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS and/or REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to stand walk sit occasionally stoop or bend. Must be able to lift objects that fall within the scope of job responsibilities. Must have the dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Intelligence: Requires the ability to read and follow a variety of instructions on district state and federal websites as well as hard copy.
Language Ability: Requires the ability to read a variety of correspondences. Requires the ability to prepare reports forms system documentation etc. using prescribed formats and conforming to all rules of grammar.
Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to record and deliver information to explain procedures to give oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must possess the ability to speak to people with poise voice control and confidence. Must be able to deliver effective presentations to both small and large audiences.
