The Senior PreSales Consultant Role
As we continue our mission to be the marketleading underwriting software platform for agile insurers we are seeking a PreSales Senior Consultant to drive our expansion in the US market. This senior role is critical in supporting our growing US customer base and meeting the increasing demand for expert guidance in underwriting technology.

The PreSales Senior Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by partnering with prospective customers understanding their challenges and demonstrating how Sends platform delivers measurable impact. With deep domain expertise in insurance technology you will take a consultative approach to problemsolvingtranslating complex technical capabilities into compelling business value.

In this highvisibility role youll lead product demonstrations proofofconcept engagements and strategic conversations with senior stakeholders. Youll also collaborate closely with sales product and delivery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial engagement to solution adoption.

About Send
In 2017 the three founders of Send (Andy Moss Ben Huckel and Matt McGrillis) had a vision to reshape and enhance the underwriting processes of commercial insurers by fusing advanced technology and deep expertise.

2019: Delivered a commercial and specialty Underwriting Workbench for a leading global insurer (a major FTSE 100 carrier and one of the UKs top five composite insurers) streamlining operations driving efficiencies and providing forward visibility.

2022: Won three awards for the Underwriting Workbench and raised $10m in Series A funding to expand in the UK and US.

2023: Launched Smart Submission a standalone component of the Underwriting Workbench and was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide P&C Intelligent Underwriting Workbench Applications Vendor Assessment.

2024: Named a Top Provider in the Datos P&C Workbench report and a Leader in the Celent Underwriting Workbench reports in both North America and Global Markets.

Our Funding
From 2017 to 2022 we bootstrapped our growth journey transforming into a profitable and stable company. In November 2022 after a year of customer and team growth we successfully obtained $10m in Series A funding to accelerate our expansion in the UK and US and our product development. We enjoy the support and expertise of our investors Mercia and Breega.

We are currently preparing our Series B funding round and looking forward to the growth acceleration this will facilitate.

The Send Team
In the past year Send has experienced remarkable team growth expanding by over 50 to a team of 80. At the start of 2024 our team was based in the UK and Poland. Weve taken significant strides towards establishing a global presence and now have team members across the US and India all working collaboratively to be the marketleading underwriting software platform for agile insurers.

What Youll Be Doing as a Senior PreSales Consultant

Customer Sales Support

  • Partner with our US sales teams to understand customer challenges and strategic objectives identifying how Sends platform can best support them.
  • Lead the preparation and of critical product demonstrations and POCs to customers working with our sales team and presales engineers to tailor the solution to best showcase our product fit and value.
  • Provide market and product expertise throughout the sales cycle guiding customers through complex buying decisions and ensuring a seamless evaluation process.
  • Lead RFP and proposal written responses effectively articulating how Sends functionality and feature set will be applied and configured to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to help develop compelling business cases ROI models and competitive positioning strategies.
  • Extract insights from customer engagements to refine sales messaging and enhance gotomarket strategies.

Product & Market Collaboration

  • Shape the backlog and design of our Presales R&D to continuously enhance demo environments to deliver a seamless and impactful customer experience.
  • Serve as the voice of the US customer providing critical market feedback to core product and technology teams to influence roadmap direction and prioritisation.
  • Support the refinement of sales collateral case studies and technical documentation to strengthen customer understanding and engagement.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends competitor developments and evolving customer needs within the North American insurance landscape.

The Skills and Experience Needed for the Senior PreSales Consultant Role

  • Deep Industry Knowledge Extensive understanding of the US P&C insurance and underwriting ecosystem with handson experience in NonAdmitted E&S program or reinsurance markets.
  • Consultative Solutioning Proven success in a Senior PreSales or solution Consulting role within a highgrowth SaaS or tier 1 consulting firm. Be a problem solver by nature uncovering customer challenges shaping tailored solutions and clearly articulating business value to senior stakeholders
  • Selfstarter Be comfortable managing your own workload identifying both opportunities and risks and developing an approach to dealing with them.
  • ExecutiveLevel Engagement Skilled in presenting to and influencing Csuite executives Heads of Underwriting IT leaders and Innovation teams in enterprise insurance organizations.
  • Sales & Commercial Insight Experience collaborating closely with sales teams to support complex deal cycles including RFP responses business case development and competitive positioning in the US market.
  • Technical Acumen Strong ability to communicate complex core enterprise technology concepts including APIs integrations and data workflows to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • CrossFunctional Leadership Ability to work seamlessly with sales product delivery and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and effective customer engagement process.

NicetoHave Experience:

  • Experience in a highgrowth SaaS or Insurtech company particularly within the North American insurance market.
  • Familiarity with underwriting workbenches policy administration systems (PAS) or claims technology.

Senior PreSales Consultant Interview Process
Our recruitment process for Senior PreSales Consultant role is a minimum of four stages:
