Job Description

Deadline to apply for KQED Internships is Friday May 16th 2025. Please state which internship(s) you are applying for in your cover letter and apply to each one individually.

This is a paid internship working 16 hours per week from July 7th 2025 through December 19th 2025. Current Salary is $19.18 per hour.

Listening to The California Report Magazine is like taking a road trip for your ears to meet the people and visit the places that make the Golden State unique. Every week we bring you stories about real people and the sometimes extraordinary situations they find themselves in. We celebrate a range of experiences on our show and encourage interns from all backgrounds to apply. Were also looking for interns who are passionate about longform audio storytelling and amplifying the voices of people we dont often hear from in the media. The 29minute program airs throughout the weekend on stations across California and is also available as a podcast.

KQED envisions a public media organization with a culture that centers on human dignity equity and belonging. This will enable us to better serve and reflect the Bay Area through diverse and inclusive storytelling.

We help students and teachers thrive in 21stcentury classrooms and take people of all ages on journeys of exploration exposing them to new people places and ideas.
