What to Expect

The Sr. Manager IT Enterprise Architecture is responsible designing planning and overseeing the implementation of enterprisewide IT systems and infrastructure. This role will be expected to provide technology guidance develop architecture roadmaps principles technology standards and best practices to align with HCAs technology roadmap.

What You Will Do

  1. Strategic IT Planning and Enterprise Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the enterprise IT architecture roadmap. Provide overall direction guidance and definition of IT architecture to support business objectives and goals. Design scalable flexible IT systems to support current and future business needs.
  2. Technology Standards and Governance: Establish and enforce IT architecture standards policies and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions. Leads the Architecture Review Board and ensures that proposed solutions are compliant with target state architecture models. Drive adoption usage maintenance and governance of HCAs enterprise architecture management tool.
  3. Cross Department Collaboration: Collaborate with HCA ITs architecture community including but not limited to Data Security Infrastructure Application and Integration architects to ensure completeness of technical solutions develop and promote architectural policies standards and reference documentation. Provide strategic consultation to IT leaders and fellow architects on options risks costs/benefits system impacts and technology stack alignment.
  4. Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Research and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization. Partner with IT teams to develop and/or validate proofofconcept projects to test new technologies and solutions. Ensure that the use of new technologies is in alignment to architecture standards and compliance requirements.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Analyze existing IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement. Develop strategies to optimize IT performance efficiency technical debt and costeffectiveness. Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to review and improve EA capabilities. Establish and oversee the enterprise architecture team including the recruitment development and management of the architecture staff. Define the skills competencies for enterprise architecture team members. Responsible for identifying training and development needs of the architecture team and community.
  6. Lead mentor and develop team members by providing direction performance feedback and support to ensure effective collaboration professional growth and achievement of organizational and personal goals.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelors degree in computer science information systems computer engineering system analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in related discipline a plus.
  • 15 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations including exposure to multiple diverse technologies and processing environments.
  • Experience in cloud computing frameworks such as SaaS PaaS IaaS multitier application frameworks serviceoriented architecture microservices and application modernization efforts
  • Three years supervisory experience managing multiple large crossfunctional teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
  • Proficiency in architecture modeling tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success as a handson solution architect
  • Ability to lead crossfunctional projects and influence senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture business reengineering principles and processes and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skillsand ability to influence senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present ideas to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting standing and walking vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
