Job Description
Our client an Azure consulting company is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer/Architect to join their specialized team to design implement and maintain Azure infrastructure.
In this role you willwork closely with stakeholders to deliverprofessional services related to Azure environments and play a key role in advancing Infrastructure as Code practices.
Responsibilities:
- Implement VM/VMSSprovisioning patching and monitoring usingIaCprinciples.
- Modify virtualmachine instance types expand disk storage and attach new disksusingInfrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Develop implement and collaborate onthe development of Terraform scripts for Azure automation tasks.
- Implementautomation for post deployment tasks.
- Automateprovisioning of new SQL servers usingIaC.
- UtilizeInfrastructure as Code to manage the lifecycle of SQL servers includingbackup restore and patching.
- Automatedeployments of SQL servers on the Azure VM implement post deploymentconfigurations.
- Automateprovisioning of new App Service Plans usingIaC.
- UtilizeInfrastructure as Code to manage deployment of the Azure AppServiceAzure Apps and Azure Functions on top of Azure App service Plans.
- Implement CI/Cdpipelines to deploy Azure Functions/Apps.
- Automatemanagement activities against Microsoft Active Directory API basedservicesand SQL servers.
- Enhance Azuresupport strategies by advancing Infrastructure as Codemethodologies.
- Collaborate withAzure DevOps and GitHub Actions establishing CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code deployments.
- Utilize GitHubfor version control and GitHub Actions for continuous integration anddeployment.
Requirements
- Proven experienceas an Azure Infrastructure as Code Engineer with expertise inAzure VM VMSSAzure App Service and SQL
- Handsonexperience with CDKTF and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Strongunderstanding of Azure services Azure Native automation tools andInfrastructure as Code principles.
- Proficiency inPowerShell and PowerShell DSC scripting for automation.
- Experience withMicrosoft Active Directory.
- Familiarity withAzure AD OAuth OpenID Connect.
- Experience withAzure load balancers storage accounts and App Services AppGateways.
- Knowledge ofMicrosoft SQL Server administration.
- Familiarity withAzure Container Apps.
- Experience withsecurity practices including the use of Azure Policies.
- Familiarity withAzure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline setup.
- Proficient inversion control using GitHub and implementing GitHub Actions.
- Ability tocollaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellentproblemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strongcommunication skills.
