Job Description
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Our collaborative and supportive school team is currently accepting applications for oncall Behaviour Interventionist/Support workers (BI) at our Elementary Middle and High school campuses. The Behaviour Interventionist is responsible for providing onetoone and group support to Autistic students and others with complex needs. LCS is committed to achieving the meaningful inclusion of all individuals in our community and encourages those with a passion for enabling students to flourish to apply.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory minimum 6 months experience as a BI supervised by a BCBA
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively delivering onetoone instruction within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of human development and the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis/Verbal Behaviour (ABA/VB) and related assessment and therapeutic skills
Ideal candidates will be physically strong energetic enthusiastic and capable of working with a diverse range of learners
Degree or diploma/certificate in related field (Psychology Social Work Education)
Current crisis prevention certification and First Aid/CPR certification an asset
Evidence of strong sense of purpose and identity built on Biblical principles as well as participation in a local Christian church community
