This position is a Full Time position.

SUMMARY: The staff speech language pathologist is responsible for the evaluation planning directing and administering of speech language and dysphagia treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician in compliance the Texas State Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and other regulatory agencies governing this facility. Treatment may include evaluation specialized testing and administration of treatments as prescribed or approved by the referring physician in an effort to restore function enhance functional communication and manage oral motor dysfunction.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of M.A. or M.S. program for Speech Pathology

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 3 to 5 years of experience preferred but not required

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Credentials for clinical competencies (CCC) through ASHA. Satisfactory completion of Speech Language Pathologist Competency Evaluation. Current Texas license for the practice of Speech Pathology (a temporary license is permitted only with the approval of the department manager)

Current CPR certification.
