Food & Beverage Team Leader

About the Role
As a Food & Beverage Team Leader youll be an integral part of daily operations. Your role is handson and customerfacing responsible for leading service in your section training new and existing staff and supporting supervisors to keep things running smoothly. Youll take pride in ensuring guests receive professional welcoming service from entry to exit.
Were looking for someone who is confident capable and thrives under pressurean experienced F&B professional who knows their stuff and isnt afraid to jump in wherever needed. Youll need to know your menu items and beverage pairings be proactive in making menu suggestions and recommendations and bring a genuine enthusiasm for guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a service section during shifts
- Train and support new staff in service procedures and venue standards
- Provide a strong frontofhouse presence greeting and farewelling guests
- Handle customer feedback with confidence and professionalism
- Maintain calm and focus during busy service periods
- Support supervisors in shift coordination and service delivery
- Assist with cashier duties and endofday balancing
- Offer support to other sections when neededteamfirst approach
What You Bring
- Experienced F&B staff member who is passionate at delivering outstanding service
- Strong food and beverage knowledge with a sharp focus on guest experience
- Proven ability to upsell and promote highmargin items
- Able to lead a section confidently while keeping service flowing across the venue
- Highvolume a la carte experience is essential
- Cool head in a fastpaced environmentvery good under pressure
- Strong communicator with a friendly professional personality
- Approachable reliable and great with locals regulars & tourists alike
Requirements
- Current QLD RSA
- Experience with POS systems and reservation platforms
- Floor operations including opening and closing procedures
- Professional guestfocused approach
- Availability across a rotating lunch and dinner roster 7 days
