Job Description
Position Title: Maintenance Worker Graveyard Shift
Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hour
Position Purpose:
Performs a variety of janitorial and custodial duties and may assist in other maintenancerelated activities during the graveyard shift. This is a temporary seasonal position not to exceed 122 days that will be scheduled full time hours.
Schedule:Wednesday through Sunday 12:00AM 8:30AM. Schedule subject to change based on business needs.
TO APPLY PLEASE VISIT: Functions:
- Cleans assigned buildings offices and other areas throughout the fairgrounds and maintains facilities in a clean and orderly manner.
- Cleans and restocks restrooms with needed supplies.
- Empties cleans and relines trash receptacles and disposes of trash in compactor.
- Cleans guest tables and eating areas and removes trash from eating areas.
- May operate a trash compactor/baler as needed.
- May assist in unskilled general maintenance and repair activities including plumbing electrical and landscaping duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be available to work 5 days per week (Wednesday Sunday) for the graveyard shift mid July mid August.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
Preferences:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
- Valid California Drivers License.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers buffers and waxers.
- Familiarity with the layout and facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center helpful.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper bending and lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Work Environment:
Will work in a fastpaced indoor and outdoor environment in all types of weather. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud however louder noise levels may be experienced during outdoor events and when in larger event buildings.
