DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Health Care Nurse Surveyor you will evaluate the quality of care and services at home health facilities to determine adherence with state and federal regulations. You will conduct surveys based on license expirations occupancy inspections unusual incidents and complaints. You will also revisit facilities to review implementation of corrective measures to ensure documented issues have been eliminated. This role requires strong communication skills to establish rapport while conducting interviews as well as thorough knowledge of survey protocols and guidelines to make evidencebased conclusions. In addition you will useobjectivity when gathering information and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters relating to violations of health care regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Travel is required within Carbon Columbia Lackawanna Luzerne Monroe Montour Pike Susquehanna Wayne and Wyoming counties.
- This is a home headquartered position. You will be headquartered at your home and travel to worksites to complete your work duties. In order to be home headquartered you must have a securely configured highspeed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to be headquartered at your home you will have the option to report to the Scranton Field Office.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- All positions require successful completion of the relevant providerspecific federally mandated Surveyor Minimum Qualifications training and Test (SMQT) provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or an equivalent certifying body for the discipline within one year of hire.
- All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one 1 year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- All positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.
