Vice President of Finance and Operations
As akey member of the executive leadership team the Vice President of Finance willreport directly to the CEO and play a central role in shaping the companysfinancial strategy and overseeing business operations. The VP will takeownership of corporate finance including financial planning modeling andanalysis while managing all accounting and financerelated functions. Thisincludes overseeing audits and collaborating with the Audit Committee to ensurecompliance and accuracy. The VP will also be responsible for cash flowmanagement investment strategy financial reporting forecasting andconducting deal and portfolio risk/return analysis. Additionally the role willencompass risk management internal controls and various operational andadministrative responsibilities to support the companys growth and financialstability.
Responsibilities:
Actively contribute to the leadership teamhelping to shape and drive the companys overall strategic direction.
Develop and maintain financial reportsdashboards and KPIs for executive leadership and the Audit Committee.
Develop implement and maintain comprehensiveFP&A processes to improve clarity consistency and strategic alignment.
Ensure accurate financial reporting andcompliance with GAAP regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Complete all required reporting for thirdparty vendors.
Lead the development and of thecompanys financial strategy including budgeting forecasting and longtermplanning.
Take ownership of forecast model and lead alladhoc scenario analysis and financial modeling as needed by the business.
Monitor and analyze financial performance identifytrends and provide actionable insights.
Own development of materials for managementreviews reporting and board meetings.
Provide financial insights and strategicrecommendations to leadership team and the board.
Oversee all financial operations includingaccounts payable accounts receivable treasury and cash management.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of alltax filings and reporting obligations for the company and its investors.
Collaborate closely with operational teams(clinical CMC) to ensure precise budget forecasting and ongoing financialtracking while also supporting the preparation documentation and review oflegal documents including contracts and agreements.
Bachelors degree in finance Accounting or arelated field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
15 years of progressive experience in financeor accounting.
Proven experience in a leadership positionwithin a highperforming biotech company.
Experience in a small biotech/startup orhighgrowth environment.
Indepth expertise in financial planning analysisand reporting with a strong understanding of the unique operations andfinancial dynamics of small biotech companies.
Demonstrated experience overseeing the auditprocess and collaborating with audit committees to ensure compliance andaccuracy.
Solid analytical and problemsolvingabilities with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication interpersonal andpresentation skills.
