We are the Credit Risk Bureau product I.T. team an ensemble of highly motivated individuals who own the Credit Risk I.T. systems. These systems provide core and critical functions and data to Risk Sales Customer servicing Underwriting Modelling Management Information Regulatory reporting and Analytics applications throughout the Bank.
Our services span across Retail and Corporate customers covering almost every product range. Our suite of applications includes components built inhouse and proprietary thirdparty software from well known providers using a wide range of technology.

What youll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
Excellent full stack backend experience in Java 17
Some experience in Angular RESTful APIs and microservices
Familiar with a wide range of technologies including Java Apache Maven NodeJS as well as Relational databases (MS SQL Server)
Proficient understanding of APIs best practices and modular objectorientated design and development
Experience in Agile processes and CI/CD pipelines
Able to work alone or in a team contributing to a collective target
It would also be nice for you to have:
Experience in IT system design and solutioning
Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills
Ambition and ability to progress into SME and leadership role
Experience in design and developing enterpriselevel complex applications
What else you need to know:
This is a permanent role based in our Unity Place office Milton Keynes.
We want our people to thrive at work and home and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this we offer sitebased contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (prorata for parttime roles).
If you apply for this role in this location its important you consider your travelling distance time and cost from your home to the office location.

1st Stage A 60 min virtual interview consisting of a range of technical questions.
