About the role
The Director Advisory Services is a senior leadership position that plays a critical role in shaping and delivering Blueprints work with public sector and nonprofit clients. Reporting to the Advisory Leader the Director leads interdisciplinary teams to deliver highimpact solutions that help clients improve the design delivery and performance of policies programs and services.

This role requires deep expertise in one or more public policy domainssuch as employment and training housing justice or human servicesand a strong understanding of public systems. Youll bring that domain knowledge to bear as you help clients tackle complex challenges drawing on a rigorous toolkit that includes applied research policy analysis service design implementation support performance measurement and evaluation.

Youll serve as a trusted advisor to government leaders ensuring our work is grounded in evidence tailored to context and focused on generating realworld impact. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of engagement deliveryfrom opportunity development and proposal writing to quality assurance and relationship management.

Key responsibilities

  • Business development: Lead and manage the full life cycle of business development from opportunity identification proposal development and project / engagement delivery and oversight.
  • Engagement delivery: Lead interdisciplinary teams to deliver highquality advisory engagements that span policy analysis strategic program review service design implementation support performance measurement and evaluation. Ensure projects are rigorous responsive to client needs and focused on outcomes.
  • Client account management: Proactively lead a portfolio of client accounts nurturing strong relationships that create a high value trusted advisor relationship identifying opportunities for ongoing engagement and ensuring high quality of client deliverables.
  • Network building: Build and nurture an extensive network of client and sector relationships to broaden understanding of sector trends and identify business intelligence and client insights.
  • Sector strategy and thought leadership: Bring deep policy and system expertise to shape Blueprints strategy in key sectors. Produce insights publications and frameworks that build brand awareness and advance understanding of emerging challenges and promising approaches.
  • Delivery excellence: Provide leadership and quality oversight across client engagements ensuring delivery excellence and outcomes are achieved.
  • Team leadership: Build and mentor highperforming crossfunctional teams. Support professional growth foster a collaborative culture and ensure the team is set up for success.
The successful candidate will demonstrate Blueprints values of being evidencedriven peoplecentred curious accountable and optimistic. They will contribute to communities of practice and professional networks both within and outside of Blueprint.

What were looking for

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in public sector advisory services
  • Experience working with the public sector in one or more public policy areas: employment and training income security housing community safety and justice or human services
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of growing relationships and opportunities and winning engagements
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills with a datadriven approach to problem solving decisionmaking and solutions design
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management abilities with experience leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Highly developed client relationship management skills and network building capabilities.
  • Masters degree or equivalent in Business Economics Political Science Public Policy and Administration Social Services.
