Job Description
Affixing Operator
Role Summary
Our client seeks an Affixing Operator to join their rapidly growing operations team. The Affixing Operator is responsible for operating in a direct mail manufacturing facility with a focus on reduction in costrelated errors exceeding client expectations and driving a safe workplace.
Key Results Area
Operates and maintains equipment
Performs adjustments on the machine per job instructions
Meets and exceeds production standards and maintains customer quality requirements
Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change
Follows all safety policies and procedures
Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time
Communicate with Management on any problems developing and corrective action
Works with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements
Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production
Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts
Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the teams success
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Two 2 years of manufacturing experience (Preferred)
Able to move and lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
Able to stand on concrete for 1012 hours.
Willingness to work overtime when needed
Ability to apply written and verbal instructions for machine setup
Ability to use hands wrists and arms to handle material
Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members
Must demonstrate reliability through attendance punctuality and ability to stay in the work area
