Job Title: Facilities and Equipment Manager

Detroit Michigan / BioProduction Division

How will you make an impact:

The Facilities and Equipment Manager will be a key contributor in maintaining the efficiency of our production operations collaborating with Production Engineering and Quality. Your responsibilities will encompass the operation maintenance and repair of our innovative production equipment and facility systems. This role is vital in supporting our ambitious goals in EHS Quality Delivery and Financial performance. You will also be responsible for coordinating onsite IT activities requiring a fundamental understanding of network computer software and hardware.

What will you do:

  • Coordinate all production and facilities equipment including contracted services like janitorial and grounds maintenance.
  • Lead a team of Maintenance Engineers across a 3shift operation.
  • Apply Problem Solving tools to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Lead training initiatives for Maintenance Engineers.
  • Direct and coordinate installation operation and maintenance of various facility systems.
  • Manage Spare Part Inventory and arrange for the purchase of equipment and services.
  • Lead site Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Develop emergency procedures.
  • Direct contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Lead sitelevel CapEx projects.
  • Support the facilitys computer and telephone networks.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot basic IT hardware problems.
  • Respond to unplanned facility emergencies.

How will you get here:

BS degree in Chemical Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in facilities equipment maintenance.
  • 35 years of progressive experience leading a maintenance team.
  • Previous GMP experience in a Manufacturing Facility.
  • Experience building relationships with vendors.
  • Experience managing financial plans related to facilities and maintenance.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing strategic plans.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of FDA GMP ISO and OSHA guidelines.
  • Good mathematical skills and basic knowledge of statistics.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong Leadership Skills.
  • Ability to grow and develop strong teams.
