Job Description

Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business drive operations excellence and make sound investment and expansion decisions with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving longterm profitability for our Grocery businesses. Our teams experiment fail fast learn and scale rapidly and we have a culture of datadriven decisionmaking.

The Role:
The AGL Finance team seeks a Finance Manager to partner with our Instock and Shrink business partners on operational performance financial analysis long term strategy and . Experience in this team opens up several career opportunities across Amazon.



Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities

Partner with Instock Managers PMs and Operations to optimize Amazon Freshs instock position and reduce Shrink across our Online and Physical Stores businesses.
Delivers weekly/monthly financial close. Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans forecasts budgets and consolidations.
Works with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data identifies root causes of data issues escalates discrepancies fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution.
Identifies and implements solutions to resolve improve automate standardize or simplify finance processes.
Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear concise and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
Makes thoughtful time management decisions independently. Prioritizes work resolves issues meets deadlines and seeks feedback from your manager. Discerns between urgent and nonurgent issues and acts accordingly to solve them.

BA or BS in Finance Accounting Business Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering Math Computer Science) and 5 years of finance experience or Masters degree and 3 years of finance experience

MBA
5 years of experience in financial modeling P&L management or analysis
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP)
5 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
5 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
5 years of identifying and implementing opportunities to resolve finance issues improve scale or simplify finance tools technology and processes across teams and organizations experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
