This position offers a unique opportunity to support and contribute to the establishment and continuous building of a unified internal and external corporate communications function within the company.

Position Summary:

  • The Associate Director Corporate Communications is responsible for supporting and contributing to a proactive and effective corporate communications strategy aligned with the companys strategic goals globally. The incumbent will help elevate the Taiho Oncology brand through authentic storytelling and the creation of compelling content strategies and effective communications campaigns. This role will manage ongoing communications activities and special projects.

Performance Objectives:

  • Support the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies and programs to enhance business growth brand building reputation management and employee engagement.
  • In collaboration with Senior Director Corporate Communications and agency partners develop and execute content strategies and communications campaigns that elevate the brand through authentic storytelling.
  • Develop and edit corporate communications materials including press releases website articles social media posts fact sheets talking points thought leadership content internal communications slide decks town hall content and other materials as needed.
  • Manage and help shape editorial calendar for internal and external communications ensuring accuracy timely and an omnichannel approach.
  • Manage content creation and approval processes for social media and website.
  • Support press release creation and approval process working closely with internal stakeholders to shape and refine messaging and obtain timely approvals.
  • Manage ongoing updates to corporate website.
  • Manage PRC submissions as needed.
  • Support corporate awards program continuously identifying award opportunities and crafting compelling company narratives for submissions that showcase our mission and our culture.
  • Contribute to and manage aspects of key Corporate Communications projects such as the development or enhancement of communications platforms.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with internal teams including Product Marketing Patient Alliance Medical Affairs R&D and Business Development to advance communications activities and ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Work closely with the People team to develop and implement internal and external communications strategies targeted at attracting engaging and retaining employees.
  • Support the development preparation and production of companywide town halls and other events.
  • Create and adhere to organizational systems to enhance operational efficiency for department.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in journalism public relations communications or English preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • 8 years of relevant experience in communications with substantial experience in corporate communications with a pharma or biotech company or healthcare communications agency.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong writer and editor; an engaging storyteller across mediums.
  • Understanding of authentic branding and visual elements of communication.
  • Experienced in digital communications including social media and analytics websites and content management systems.
  • Effectively and efficiently work with agency partners.
  • Adhere to compliance standards.
  • Selfstarter with a strong work ethic respect for deadlines and realtime communications.
  • Ability to interface and partner effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • A positive attitude flexibility and a proactive approach.
  • Experience managing multiple projects (timelines budgets priorities) simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint required
  • The incumbent in this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $186150 to $219000 annually. This pay range is based on the market range for positions of this type. However base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a signon bonus restricted stock units commissions and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired employee will be in an atwill position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
