About the Role

You will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of Analytics and Business Intelligence in HARMAN along with other key leaders. This role will involve leading internal analytics projects shaping the technology roadmap and overseeing projects including solution development deployment maintenance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in business intelligence exceptional leadership skills and the ability to balance internal and external project demands effectively. In this strategic role you will be responsible for shaping the future of analytics within our organization driving innovation and ensuring the successful implementation of analytics solutions that deliver tangible business outcomes.

Your Team

This role will report to Director AI / ML and Analytics. This position will have multiple direct reports and will also be working closely with various stakeholders. The position will also be managing partners for analytics maintenance.


What You Will Do

The role is expected to take on diverse responsibilities including the following :

  • BI Strategy Design & Implementation
    • Enterprise BI Vision: Define a vision for enterprise BI that supports strategic business initiatives and guides investments in BI technologies and talent over the next few years. Craft and execute a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with our analytics maturity journey and inspires the teams.
    • Data Driven Decision Making: Driving initiatives to foster data driven decision making in the organization by translating data into actionable insights to inform critical business decisions
    • Industry Trends & Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on industry trends and proactively take measures to enhance selfservice analytics and deliver superior BI products.
    • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with IT and business teams serving as the trusted advisor for all BIrelated topics and being recognized as the BI subjectmatter expert (SME) within the company.
    • Guide and inspire the organizationon the business potential and opportunities presented by Analytics
    • Community Building: Foster a robust community of BI enthusiasts within HARMAN and create an engaging platform for employees to connect learn and share knowledge on BI topics. Promote and support a citizen developer program to empower employees in creating their own BI solutions.
    • Reusable Methodologies & Development Standards: Develop reusable methodologies data models and standardization practices across divisions and functions.
    • Data Knowledge & Management: Ensure the development and management of data knowledge within the organization.
    • Data governance: Establishing data quality standards managing data access controls and promoting data integrity within the organization

  • Accountability for Delivery for Business Stakeholders
    • BI Solutions Oversight: Oversee the design development and deployment of BI solutions.
    • Client Collaboration: Work closely with key client teams to understand their business challenges and needs and develop tailored BI solutions.
    • Team Management: Manage a group of BI and Analytics specialists supporting their development and fostering an innovative culture.
    • Stakeholder Networks: Create strong networks with key stakeholders to enable the functions ability to execute at pace and promote transparency of information across the organization.
    • Backlog Prioritization and Resource Planning: Work effectively with key stakeholders on backlog prioritization and resource planning. Monitoring Delivery performance for effective resource utilization.
    • Establish Development Standards & new capabilities: Set expectations share best practice and manage monitor coach and develop colleagues to ensure new capabilities built in the team and products.

  • Leadership & Teamwork
    • Recruit develop and lead a global BI team: Define and implement actionable career development paths for various BI roles at different seniority levels.
    • Cultivate a work culture that inspires curiosity innovation and continuous learning: Motivate teams to challenge the status quo and set high standards for work quality while balancing speed to market.
    • Influence and lead internal teams: Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders by providing highquality artifacts and effective communications.
    • Collaborate with data science modern data warehouse and master data management teamson combined initiatives

  • Accountability for maintenance of BI Ecosystem
    • Product Release Plan & Upgrades: Establish and own the agenda for BI product release plan and upgrades to maintain Agile delivery cadence.
    • Partner Management: Manage the partner for reporting and coordinate resolutions of service performance issues for regions and global and ensure management escalation when appropriate.

What You Need

  • 10 years of relevant experience in successfully launching planning and executing advanced analytics projects.
  • Proficiency in Qliksense and SAP Analytics Cloud for designing developing and optimizing advanced dashboards is preferred.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL).
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data warehousing concepts data modelling and ETL processes.
  • Ability to write basic data crunching functions using python.
  • Experience in managing a wide range of projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Analytics team
  • Candidates should be confident energetic selfstarters with strong communication skills.
  • Candidates should exhibit superior presentation skills and the ability to present compelling solutions which guide and inspire.
  • Team player attitude with collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to changing business needs and eagerness for continuous learning.
  • Candidate should exhibit critical thinking and ability to analyze situations independently.
