Employment Type: PartTime
Compensation: $22$28 an hour
Reports To: Academy Director

The Role

As an Intervention Coach you will play a vital role in supporting students academically socially and emotionally ensuring they stay engaged and on track to graduate. You will work closely with Graduation Candidates (GCs) educators and support staff to provide targeted interventions personalized learning strategies and holistic support.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Support & Intervention

• Identify students in need of additional academic support through data analysis and staff collaboration.
• Provide oneonone and smallgroup interventions to reinforce key concepts improve skill gaps and boost confidence.
• Develop personalized learning strategies aligned with students needs and progress.
• Utilize datadriven decisionmaking to adjust interventions and track student performance.

Student Engagement & Retention

• Serve as a mentor and advocate for assigned students building trusting relationships to encourage persistence.
• Monitor student attendance coursework completion and overall engagement to provide timely interventions.
• Implement incentive programs and engagement strategies to improve student motivation.
• Work collaboratively with the student support team to address barriers to learning.

Collaboration & Advocacy

• Partner with teachers Grade Coaches and academy staff to create a seamless support system for students.
• Participate in professional development and data reviews to continuously improve intervention strategies.
• Engage with families community organizations and support networks to foster student success beyond the classroom.
• Advocate for students academic and personal needs connecting them with appropriate resources.

What Were Looking For

• Education: Bachelors degree in Education Social Work Counseling or a related field preferred.
• Certification: Florida educators license with a secondary English endorsement or Mathematics endorsement is for this position.
• Experience: 2 years of experience working with atrisk youth academic intervention or student support services.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal problemsolving and organizational skills with a focus on equity and inclusivity.
• Passion: A deep commitment to supporting students who have disengaged from traditional school settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in nontraditional or alternative education settings.
• Familiarity with competencybased learning and intervention strategies.
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
• Strong comfort with technology in educational settings.

Required Experience:

Manager
