Job Title: School Nutrition Warehouse Assistant SupervisorWage/Hour Status: Hourly

Dept./School: School Nutrition Supervises: Warehouse Delivery Team
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for assisting Warehouse Supervisor with the operation and supervision of the child nutrition warehouse. Helps coordinates the deliveries of food to child nutrition sites ensuring their proper temperatures are maintained.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Working towards Texas Association of School Nutrition Level V Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to obtain a Texasapproved Managers Food Handler Certification.
- Ability to read and write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
- Ability to complete 6 hours of continuing education in Nutrition Operations Administration and Communication/Marketing annually as required by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Valid and current Texas Drivers LicenseClass C
- Computer and Inventory Software
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in training and supervising personnel in the School Nutrition Warehouse.
- Assist supervises the loading and unloading of delivery trucks assisting when necessary.
- Maintains required forms and records as assigned by the School Nutrition Central Office.
- Monitors pulled orders on warehouse trucks before departure to school sites.
- Assist perform monthly inventory on the entire School Nutrition Warehouse.
- Develop and maintain excellent communications with all School Nutrition Managers and their teams in order to meet the needs of production on a timely basis.
- Maintain clear effective communications with the School Nutrition Central Office staff to ensure a clear accurate audit trail for all items received and/or stored.
- Maintain clear effective communications with leadership concerning stock levels product availability and related warehouse/delivery situations.
- Safely handle and properly store all products received to ensure the best rotation and to protect product quality.
- Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment to prevent loss or damage and to ensure safety
- Ensure quality work production in a timely manner with safety accuracy and protection of product
- Interact and communicate with students the public and other District personnel to maintain cooperative relationships.
- Maintain clean sanitary safe and pestfree vehicles and warehouse/office facilities.
- Perform duties including food preparation delivery and cleanup at special events during and after regular working hours.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the School Nutrition Warehouse Supervisor.
Working Conditions:
Mental Conditions/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing walking pushing and pulling;
moderate lifting and carrying; some stooping bending and kneeling; frequent exposure to extreme
hot and cold temperatures. The School Nutrition Warehouse is a cold storage facility with temperatures ranging from 19 to 70 degrees.
