Memory Care Activity AssistantKey Responsibilities Include: - Assist in planning organizing and implementing daily activity programming.
- Participate in staff meetings to coordinate activity planning.
- Lead activities as appropriate to skills and interests.
- Formulate and maintain activity outlines.
- Request program supplies/materials as needed.
- Keep supply closets and cabinets clean neat and orderly.
- Incorporate environmental space in activity options with seasonal and ageappropriate materials and projects.
- Assist team to maintain environment including housekeeping.
- Assist team to ensure meals are served and kitchen and dining cleaned after meals.
- One on one interactions with participants.
- Greet families and participants in AM and/or PM; communicate in a professional manner with family members.
- Deliver and receive caregiver messages and route appropriately.
Position Requirements - Shall have completed a minimum of two years of formal postsecondary education from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Depart. of Education (including colleges universities technical institutes and correspondence schools); OR Shall have a high school diploma or the equivalent and a combined minimum of five years experience and training in services to elderly or adults with disabilities.
- A minimum of one year of experience in caring for impaired adults and planning and implementing activities.
- Shall have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Shall have a positive creative flexible and outgoing approach to people.
