Job Description
Schedule: 6AM7AM start time. Shifts are typically 810 hours long. Must be able to work Saturdays and most holidays.
The Role:
Sanitation team members are responsible for general warehouse housekeeping and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweeping floors cleaning up debris in the warehouse freezer and lunchrooms
- Deep cleaning projects as needed
- Cleaning up standing water
- Breaking down boxes and recycle
- Use a forklift or riding pallet jack to empty garbage
- Check for pest activity
- Complete daily SQF inspection log
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Main equipment used is electric riding pallet jack forklift floor scrubber and scissor lift.
Qualifications :
Here are a few things to be ready for (and dont forget we will train and certify you):
- Must be able to work independently and communicate with the rest of the sanitation and operations management teams
- Willing to work near moving mechanical parts and in extreme cold (nonweather warehouse temped at 36 degrees)
- Willing to be exposed to wet or humid conditions (nonweather producerelated)
- Ability to work in environment with a usually loud noise level
- Capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to sacks/cases anywhere between 2575lbs
- Ability to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions correspondence memos and write simple correspondence
- Ability to read/write/record data and perform simple mathematical calculations
- Must follow instructions respond to management direction
- Reliable; consistently at work and on time
- Observes and follows proper safety and food safety procedures; willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions
