Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a coursebycourse basis; strong academic background is required.
Semester: Fall semester
Adjunct Faculty: Homeland Security & Emergency Management
Example: The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and teach either an eightweek course on introduction to emergency management or terrorism and political extremism. This position is for inperson courses only the instructor must be able to teach on campus. Students in the Homeland Security and Emergency Managment Program must complete an internship; therefore the instructor must have extensive connections in the New Hampshire emergency management field.
Course:
Adjunct appointments are temporary for a specified contract period and may require inclassroom or online instruction.
The compensation rate is $800$950 per contact hour or $47.95 $59.45 per clinical rate per hour if applicable. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank based on education industry and/or teaching experience.
The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
Education: Masters degree from a recognized college or university majoring in criminal justice or a similar field. A terminal degree is preferred.
Experience: Six 6 years of professional experience in the homeland security and emergency management field with a history of progressive responsibility. Experience teaching and developing collegelevel courses is preferred.
