La Arquidicesis de Baltimore est buscando candidatos calificados para el puesto de Maestro (a) de Primaria en escuela de Doble Lenguaje El Programa de Dos Idiomas integra a los estudiantes cuya lengua materna es el ingls con los estudiantes cuya lengua materna es el espaol durante instruccin acadmica la cual es presentada en dos idiomas. Cada maestro(a) habla solamente en el idioma designado y se comunica usando una variedad de estrategias para promover el entendimiento de los estudiantes y el desarrollo de lenguaje.
Este maestro (a) planifica organiza e implementa el programa instructivo dentro de un ambiente de aprendizaje Catlico donde cada nio es reconocido como un hijo nico de Dios.

Funciones esenciales

• La habilidad de trabajar con colegas profesionales y el pblico en general.
  
• La habilidad de dar instruccin y relacionarse con estudiantes que no hablan Ingls o Espaol y que son de orgenes diferentes y tiene diferentes niveles acadmicos.
  
• Desarrollar planeaciones de las lecciones con objetivos claros de acuerdo con las pautas arquidiocesanas.
  
• Proporcionar instruccin activoparticipativas que atraigan y sean apropiadas para el grado de los estudiantes de la escuela adhiriendose a la filosofa metas y objetivos de la escuela.
  
• Observar y evaluar el progreso de los estudiantes mantener registros detallados observar el comportamiento de los estudiantes y su desarrollo asi como mantener la comunicacin con los padres.
  
• Asistir a todas las reuniones de profesores das de desarrollo profesional y talleres.
  

Requisitos para el puesto

• Licenciatura en Educacin
• Certificacin MSDE actual o capacidad para lograr la certificacin requerida.
• Comprensin bsica y aceptacin de la filosofa metas y objetivos de las Escuela Catlicas.
• Conocimiento y/o voluntad de aprender sobre la integracin de la tecnologa en las lecciones.
• Preferiblemente Catlico practicante.

Description

The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking qualified candidates for the position of an Elementary Teacher in a Dual Language Program. The Dual Language Program integrates native Englishspeaking students with native Spanish speaking students for academic instruction which is presented in both languages. Each teacher speaks only in the designated language and communicates using a range of engaging strategies to promote student understanding and language development. This teacher plans organizes and implements the instructional program in a Catholic learning environment where every child is recognized as a unique child of God.

Essential Functions

• Ability to work with professional colleagues and the general public.
• Ability to instruct and relate to nonEnglish speaking students or nonSpanish speaking students from varying backgrounds and academic skill levels.
• Develop lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan guidelines
• Provide gradeappropriate engaging instruction and learning activities for school students that adheres to the schools philosophy goals and objectives
• Observe and assess student progress keep detailed records observe student behavior and progress and communicate with parents.
• Provide a nurturing supportive and positive classroom climate that encourages student responsibility using positive motivation clear classroom routines challenging instructional strategies and effective classroom management techniques.
• Attend all faculty meetings professional development days and workshops.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Education
• Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification
• Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy goals and objectives
• Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn about the integration of technology into lessons
• Practicing Catholic preferred
