Reservations & Revenue Manager
Reservations & Revenue Manager at Fairmont Palliser will oversee booking operations for the hotel. Their primary responsibilities include managing reservations optimizing room occupancy handling guest inquiries leading a team in ensuring a seamless booking experience. They coordinate with sales and front desk teams to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise daily operations of the reservations office under the guidance of the Director and Revenue Management.
- Oversee convention and corporate group blocks maintaining accurate documentation of all correspondence.
- Monitor group attrition deadlines with structured followups at 90 60 45 and 30day intervals.
- Train coach and mentor reservations agents conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to Fairmont Hotels reservation office standards and operating procedures.
- Complete group block forms and coordinate rooming list requirements with front office management.
- Prepare and distribute a 17day room forecast incorporating all group arrivals for operational departments.
- Compile group arrival and rate details for the rolling 15month forecast in collaboration with the Revenue Manager.
- Conduct daily reviews of net booking transactions and manage group turnover processes.
- Represent the reservations team at preconvention meetings as the hotels point of contact.
- Address and resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Actively support Fairmont Pallisers environmental initiatives to promote sustainable operations.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety ensuring a secure work environment.
Qualifications :
- Proficiency in Property Manager IRIS Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Previous guest service experience is essential.
- Experience in front office operations and/or reservations is an asset.
- A postsecondary education in tourism or hospitality is preferred.
- Keen attention to detail with strong numerical skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and multitasking proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong familiarity with internet resources web browsers and online navigation.
