Job Description
As a Loan Opener you ll prepare and open mortgage loan files accurately and on time using standardized checklists and templates. You ll coordinate with Processing and Sales teams handle VOEs and ensure all documentation is complete. This projectbased role runs for at least 6 months with potential for permanency.

Your Daily Tasks
- Opening and completing new loan files on the same day as receipt
- Maintaining accurate and uptodate logs and notes
- Following the Loan Opener checklist for every file
- Using required templates for documentation
- Handling and resolving file holds within 24 hours
- Managing VOE requests according to specific verification protocols
- Confirming receipt of all thirdparty verifications
- Communicating file updates and SharePoint links with LOs and LPs
- Monitoring and responding to emails in the DoralOpening and DoralVOEs inboxes within 1 hour
- Following up on pending requests daily or within 48 hours
- Addressing rescore and verbal VOE requests promptly
Requirements
The Qualifications We Seek
Required:
- 1 2 years of relevant mortgage industry experience
- Background in mortgage or loan processing particularly in opening support or loan officer assistant roles
- Proven ability to handle administrative tasks with speed and accuracy under timesensitive conditions
- Experience with loan file documentation VOEs and basic mortgage terms
- Familiarity with U.S. lending timelines and compliance standards
Preferred:
- Experience using Encompass
- Familiarity with Argyle Database or The Work Number
- Exposure to SharePoint for file sharing
