Summary
The FOM supports the operations and personnel comprised of multiple locations. That personnel includes Ops Supervisors & Ops Managers. This position ensures that key Ryder FMS maintenance objectives plans and strategies are effectively communicated implemented and met within their respective location(s) within the business unit which is inclusive of all maintenance and quality processes and financial measures. This role is also critical as a liaison to customers supporting the sales process and assisting in problem resolution in regards to maintenance services. In addition the role also participates in the growth of the branches (business unit) through increased customer retention expansion and new sales. The position ensures that all locations within the assigned branches or business unit under his/her control comply with company policies and are operating within Federal State Provincial and Local laws. Lastly this position will require the individual to collaborate with all functional groups to meet operational excellence standards.

Provides maintenance leadership support guidance and direction for Sales Personnel for given locations or Business Unit
Ensures that agreed upon customer requirements are achieved and that satisfaction objectives are met; works with customers to resolve issues.
Directly responsible for customer relationship management to include issue resolution customer satisfaction and retention as well as ensuring uptime.
Safety/Environmental Management Ensure that all maintenance personnel adhere to Ryder Safety policies procedures and standards.
Ensure that all Ryder locations meet all safety standards and specifications.
Ensure all locations operate in compliance with Federal State Provincial and Local environmental regulations.
Labor Management Evaluate coach and develop maintenance management within assigned locations or Business Unit
Ensure that maintenance productivity standards are met within assigned locations or Business Unit
Quality/Compliance Management Supports communicates implements and measures performance against all corporate initiatives
Accountable for quality assurance standards across his/her business unit or branches and responsible for implementing solutions and/or actions to resolve any identified deficiencies
Supports communicates and ensures compliance with all Federal State Provincial and Local regulations
Supports communicates and ensures compliance with all corporately mandated policies procedures and processes
Fleet Asset Management Supports Director of Operations in all aspects of maintenance and maintenance management as the technical expert for given locations or Business Unit
Supports Asset Manager and Sales in maximizing asset utilization through managing downtime and out service of vehicles
Accountable for key maintenance measurements and results across his/her business unit or branches
Accountable for all maintenance related assets across his/her business unit or branches
Financial Management Measure track and perform ongoing analysis to ensure process and financial objectives are met. Accountable for all maintenancerelated costs and controls across his/her business unit or branches
Financial Impact Responsible for up to 1750 Truck Equivalencies in one or more locations within a geographic area of a business unit
Ensures that key FMS maintenance objectives plans and strategies are effectively communicated implemented and met within their respective location(s) within the business unit which is inclusive of all maintenance and quality processes and financial measures

Directly or indirectly supervises all operations management within a geographic area of a business unit These would include but are not limited to: Senior Operations Managers I/II Operations Managers I/II Shop Operations Managers Operations Supervisors and TechniciansinCharge. The primary duties of these positions are to manage all aspects of maintenance properly maintain all Ryder assets and meet both process and financial objectives. Safety Sensitive or DOT Regulated This position is responsible for all the safety related operations within their span of control to ensure all requirements related to OSHA DOT and DOT Regulated Employees are administered properly.

Travel Requirements percentage of travel time required could be 10 75 depending on geographic responsibility
Skills and Abilities
Excellent technical knowledge of vehicle specifications and applications
Experience working with strategic labor financial operating quality safety and asset processes as well as related metrics required
Experience with Fleet Management Software required
Experience using Microsoft word and excel intermediate required
Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment preferred
Qualifications
H.S. diploma/GED required
Associates degree preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Five 5 years or more experience in an operations environment or demonstrated success in a Ryder role. required
Five 5 years or more leadership experience. required
