Jai Ganesh Ispat & Ferro Alloys Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing innovation-led steel processing and distribution company. With our advanced steel service center in Corlim Goa and expansion underway in Sri City we handle everything from Slitting Decoiling Tension Levelling Profiling Shearing Packing to manufacturing reinforcement bars CRCA/GP sheets color coated profiles decking sheets and more.

We are the official Explore Partner of JSW Steel in Goa and Maharashtra and are on a mission to build a high-throughput world-class service center in Sri City capable of 20000 MT/month output. To lead this transformation we re looking for an operations genius.

Role Overview

This is not a maintenance role this is a scale role.

You will take full operational command of our Sri City plant and lead its evolution from a 2500 MT/month processing unit to a 20000 MT/month high-efficiency quality-driven service-oriented steel service hub. You will work closely with the BD Head Group Management and JSW teams to align production with business goals.

This is a boss-level seat requiring someone who blends shop-floor mastery strategic foresight team leadership vendor management and ruthless execution.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Production

  • Manage and optimize all aspects of slitting decoiling levelling profiling shearing nesting and packaging.

  • Monitor and improve daily production OEE uptime capacity utilization and quality yields.

  • Ensure output matches business targets in both sales and job work.

  • Drive Lean practices TPM 5S and other continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Implement stringent quality control across every process raw material to dispatch.

Planning Strategy & Throughput Scaling

  • Develop a scaling roadmap to achieve 20000 MT/month throughput in 12 18 months.

  • Create & implement short medium and long-term production plans aligned with sales pipeline.

  • Identify bottlenecks redundancies and idle capacities and fix them with speed.

  • Plan and prioritize production dynamically based on customer urgency capacity and cost.

People Process & Team Management

  • Build train and manage a high-performance plant team including supervisors technicians QA/QC and operators.

  • Instill discipline safety quality and ownership culture on the shop floor.

  • Resolve conflicts increase coordination across shifts and maintain team morale and performance.

  • Be a mentor and enforcer not just a manager.

Technical Expertise & Vendor Coordination

  • Collaborate with machinery suppliers service vendors and logistics partners to ensure seamless operations.

  • Ensure machine maintenance schedules are followed with zero compromise on uptime.

  • Manage relationships with JSW and other steel suppliers regarding raw material specs and supply planning.

  • Select and commission new machines/equipment as required during scaling phase.

Quality Dispatch & Customer Orientation

  • Own product quality end-to-end GP slit coils and Sheets TIN CRCA HRPO etc etc.

  • Ensure real-time updates and responsiveness to job work and contract clients.

  • Coordinate closely with the Business Development Head and SCM TEAM to synchronize demand & timely delivery.

  • Manage inventory levels stock accuracy rejection handling and end-customer delivery timelines.

Cost Control & Compliance

  • Continuously monitor and optimize energy consumption scrap rate and material wastage reduction in scrap generation reduction in Rejections Regular monthly settlement with the Main Supplier of the RM and get the reimbursement maintain the record.

  • Drive down cost per tonne across each operation line while preserving quality.

  • Ensure regulatory STATUTORY AND NON STATUTORY compliances factory licensing EHS protocols and ISO procedures Pollution department labour dept IALA Safety Audits Vehicle Management documentations etc .

Who We re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 10 years in Operations Leadership roles in steel COATED COIL processing UNIT for OEMS metals or capital-intensive manufacturing units.

  • Hands-on experience in coil processing especially GP CRCA Color Coated Steel who has extensive experience of handling OE customers expectations in the field of Plant hygiene Safety Quality products Packaging ISO Docs etc

  • Track record of scaling operations setting up or managing production from 5000 to 20000 MT/month.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs preventive maintenance automation and shift scheduling.

  • Team leadership experience with 30 100 staff across 3-shift or high-output environments. Able to make sure that a back up plan or team is always available for smooth output without any hindrances.

  • Exposure to both sales-driven production and contract job work handling.

  • Output consistently ramped up to 20000 MT/month with <1% quality rejection and <1% downtime.

  • Plant operations become self-sustaining with minimal micromanagement.

  • Strong coordination between Production SCM BD procurement PPC QC Safety and Dispatch teams.

  • Leadership across the plant admired respected and feared when needed.
