The Office of Admission at Wesleyan University serves as the hub of activity and the point of first contact for the Universitys thousands of prospective students and families. The admission team is responsible for generating processing and reviewing 15000 firstyear and transfer applications and hosts over 15000 individual visitors oncampus annually. In addition the office promotes the University virtually and hosts admission events all around the world.
Reporting to the Manager of Enrollment Operations this position provides primary administrative support for the Office of Admissions access initiatives. This includes processing travel grant applications and arranging travel for those we bring to campus for fall open house WesFest CBO conferences and other events. This position also provides administrative support for admissionrelated office operations and application processing functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing travel arrangements for those we bring to campus for events including communication scheduling tracking/reporting and expense reimbursements and providing primary administrative support and programming assistance for the events.
- Provide administrative support for the Director of Admission including various admission application functions such as scanning data entry communication with applicants and assist the Director of Admission with travel expense reporting.
- Provide administrative support for Admission deans and committees as needed during the applicant selection and review process.
- Serve as the point person for processing COF (Certification of Finances) and 120 forms for international applicants and as the Office of Admissions administrative liaison with the Office of International Student Affairs.
- Coordinate the processing and review of final high school transcripts and other related scores/reports as necessary.
- Perform clerical duties that include management of the and international email accounts and processing incoming/outgoing mail email and other communications.
- Assist with open positions by organizing and scheduling candidate interviews as needed.
- Perform other similar and related administrative duties as assigned.
This is an oncampus position.
This position is in the secretarial/clerical bargaining union. This position works 35 hours per week for 52 weeks per year for a total of 1820 hours per year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree and four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills incorporating sensitivity and sound judgment. Ability to liaise effectively with faculty students parents and other university personnel.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word & Excel.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to work within a diverse environment and interact collegially with individuals of different backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity or ability to learn a Client Relationship Management CRM system.
- Previous experience in an academic setting.
- Experience in admission and datageneration running queries and responding to ad hoc data requests.
