Job Description
This position coordinates and oversees contracted maintenance activities in the Transportation Service Center (TSC) area which includes Baraga Houghton Keweenaw Ontonagon and Marquette counties. Plan budget and monitor activities of contract counties municipalities and the private sector. Approve completed phases of work and authorize payment. Coordinate MDOT activities for the purpose of partnering with cities counties other TSCs Regions and Lansing. Act as the liaison person with the Region Office to ensure continuity and cooperation with the Region and Statewide. Coordinate with the Transportation Maintenance Supervisors and Operations Engineer to assist the TSC Manager to develop a maintenance program for the Region and TSC. Participate in planning processes to coordinate maintenance work in the TSC area of operation; improve system conditions; maximize available resources. Act as Transportation First Responder (TFR) during emergencies.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
One year of experience equivalent to a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor 11 or two years of experience equivalent to a Transportation Maintenance Worker 9.
