Located in Rindge NH Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is close to Boston and New York City yet provides the natural beauty and safety of a rural campus with access to outdoors activities the arts excellent educational options for families and more. FPU seeks an experienced Vice President for Finance Administration & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who reports directly to the President and supports the Board of Trustees. The CFO provides leadership management and vision in the handling and stewardship of the Universitys financial resources. The position carries broad responsibility for fiscal budgetary planning financial records and reporting investment strategy cash management and management of institutional debt as well as other relevant duties and administrative functions. The CFO and strong team ensure that timely accurate financial information is gathered analyzed and communicated effectively and implement financial policies that improve overall operations effectiveness. The University endowment and associated investment strategies are also managed by the CFO in collaboration with the President and Board. It is anticipated that the fulltime start date will be around June 2025.
Qualifications: A Masters degree in business finance or a related field and experience in a senior level financial management capacity preferably in higher education is highly desirable as is a professional qualification (CPA/CFA/CA). Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning reporting financial analysis investment management debt financing and all key financial issues facing colleges and universities today is expected. Experience with state federal and/or other regulatory entities is welcomed. The CFO must have good organizational professional and interpersonal skills along with strengths in verbal and written communication. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. With a current rebranding of the FPU and recent launch of a major fundraising campaign the CFO will join FPU at a time of challenge but also excitement positive change and entrepreneurial focus.
Relocation is available and while this is primarily an oncampus position a flexible work schedule is possible.
