Job Description
Job Title: IT Project Business Analyst
Location: Houston TX (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
- Key Skills and Experience required
- Knowledge of Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (e.g. TT NYFIX Bloomberg TradingScreen)
- Experience working with instrument static data and/or other Market Data systems & protocols experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience in analysing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g. MIFID II MAD/MAR)
- Solid relevant experience in FIX Engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions.
- Understanding of trading lifecycle including order capture & execution allocation workflow settlement and compliance requirements
- Experience with application support and vendor management
- Strong experience in exchange certification application Deployment and support
- Must have strong technical skills in scripting Python PowerShell C# SQL or other programming languages
- Experience in messaging systems and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP multicast would be highly regarded.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with traders developers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment.
- Proactive self-motivated and flexible with a positive attitude
- Ability to work under demanding deadlines with changing priorities in a trading room environment
What We Need From You
- Required Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of all major global futures exchanges
- Knowledge of full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital
Markets / Investment Banks to bring credible externalisation of mindset and approach and ensure we are cost: value competitive
- Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg Refinitiv etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms.
- Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II EMIR and FCA guidelines.
Role Overview
- Use technical skills to ensure business requirements are understood at all levels of delivery.
- Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development support and technical business users.
- Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives.
Communicate effectively with business development QA infrastructure and production support teams. - Analyse and map RFQ order and trade lifecycles to help formulate solutions that will improve quality & efficiency across our trading systems.
- Hands-on experience in delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible way. Experience of Algo regulation audit and compliance (e.g. MIFID2 & RTS6) is highly desirabl
