Job Description
A Business Analyst (BA) specializing in General Ledger (GL) Reconciliation and Data Governance Services (DGS) plays a key role in our finance team. The BA ensures accurate financial records and data integrity working closely with finance operations and IT to streamline processes and enhance data quality.
Responsible for designing implementing and maintaining OFSAA solutions focusing on GL reconciliation processes and data governance within the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- GL Reconciliation: Perform and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts.
- Data Governance: Maintain standards for data quality and consistency.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficient financial workflows.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze financial reports; create dashboards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements for technical teams.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure regulatory compliance; support audits.
- Training and Documentation: Train end-users and maintain process documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors in Finance Accounting or related field; certifications (CPA CFA) preferred.
- Experience: 5 years in BA role focused on GL reconciliation and data governance.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in financial software (SAP Oracle); advanced Excel and data visualization (Tableau Power BI).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and data analysis abilities.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy and multitasking ability.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective teamwork and stakeholder relationship building.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CPA CFA CISA CDMP.
- Project Management: Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
