Works and cooperates with coworkers and supervisors at all levels.
Learns and performs all essential job functions accurately.
Prepare comprehensive operations and maintenance of record management functions inclusive of records storage retrieval and release in compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
Manage daily operations and conduct quality control checks utilizing hands on review and programmatic research for the purpose of ensuring that tasks are performed accurately and timely. Maintain records management security protocol and confidentiality. Complete assign and facilitate various records management processes and ensure accurate and complete resolution of tasks. Assist subordinates with problem solving strategies.
Manage Maryland Public Information Act (PIA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests; ensure timely identification redaction and release of criminal justice records. Direct staff responsible for the collection categorization redaction release and retention of criminal justice records.
Coordinate the processing of subpoena and State Attorneys Office requests for police department records within the specified timeframe to meet the court deadline.
Evaluates office procedures and recommends changes; implements approved policy and procedure changes. Provide oral briefings and presentations.
Answers inquiries explains regulations procedures policies applicable laws and similar items. Maintain positive and productive professional contact with analytical counterparts the public and agencies associated with the criminal justice system.
Review incoming correspondence and prepare appropriate replies to a variety of inquiries; receives investigates and resolves complaints as necessary.
Bachelors Degree and one 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possession of a valid drivers license.
NCIC/METERS CN1 Certification.
