About the Role:
The VU Cooking Healthy Eating and Wellness (CHEW) Program is delivered by students enrolled in the nutrition and dietetics courses offered within the College of Sport Health and Engineering. It provides students with a unique opportunity to work with community groups educating and empowering them to make healthier food and lifestyle choices. The Community Partner Coordinator is responsible for liaising with external organisations and partners recruiting groups to attend the program. They are also responsible for ensuring all resources and equipment are available during the program. The Coordinator will additionally work with the Course Chair to evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the program and future developments.
The role will require the ability to work flexibly with hours required varying depending on delivery of the CHEW program. However hours will consist on average of 9.18 hours per week over the year. The position will require a Police and Working with Children Check.
This is a parttime position at a HEP5 $76459 $87825 (pro rata) 17 superannuation classification working approximately 9 hours per week (varied working days and hours).
An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:
Liaise with and recruit groups to attend CHEW from local community organisations
