Commissioning Project Engineer

A Commissioning Project Engineer supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing calibration and commissioning for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP).

Physical Requirements:
Walk job sites in uneven terrain
Work at heights and from ladders
Regularly walk use hands and fingers reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl
Lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more
Work in a noisy environment
Work in environments that are colder or hotter than a normal office environment
Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration with potential for night and weekends

Career Development:
12month minimum timeline to advance to Commissioning Engineer (CxE) role

Key job responsibilities
Manage project milestone auditing and calibration with partner teams
Create and maintain Procore tooling for project setup and tracking
Develop and implement Modeled Change Management (MCM)
Manage commissioning vendor (CxA) relationships and deliverables
Track and report project metrics and observations
Create Scope of Work (SOW) documents
Support commissioning for Phase 1 and Followon Room (FOR) projects
Coordinate with stakeholders across data center regions

Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field or relevant discipline work experience
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Proficiency in project tracking and reporting tools


Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook required; advanced knowledge of SharePoint (or similar) preferred
Ability to read construction documents (design drawings control diagrams specifications etc.
Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this role
Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
