Position Summary
The Department of Sociology at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a tenuretrack position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2025. We seek an individual with expertise in the area of medical sociology and sociology of health broadly defined and is committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The applicants expertise might include but is not limited to areas such as healthcare inequality the sociology of illness and disease mental health the study of the medical profession and allied healthcare professions healthcare services social networks and wellbeing ageing and health policy. The tenure home for this position will be in the Department of Sociology. Ph.D. is required at time of appointment.
