Senior Control Systems Engineer

Introduction:

Join ENTRUST as a Senior Control Systems Engineer specializing in Instrumentation Control and Electrical Systems. In this senior role you will be an experienced engineer executing projects within the electric power generation & distribution segment. This position offers a flexible work environment with some travel required.

Responsibilities:

This position is remote flexible and requires 2540 project travel. Hybrid and inoffice options are also available depending on location.

In this role you will assist with planning scheduling conducting and coordinating the technical aspects of projects. Your responsibilities will include supporting or executing the design and/or programming of hardware and software specifically for electric power generation and distribution projects. You will develop and implement advanced solutions for power plants focusing on instrumentation controls and electrical systems. Additionally you will assist in preparing engineering project proposals including technical definitions schedule estimation and resource planning. Collaboration with various internal and external personnel is essential to ensure project success through best practices such as Design Reviews Program Reviews and Project Closeout Meetings. You will also participate in client and contractor meetings to resolve project issues efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

• 510 years of experience in electrical instrumentation & controls within the electrical utility industry.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Steam Turbine Controls
• Gas / Liquid Turbine Controls
• Hydro Turbine Controls
• Burner Management Systems (BMS)
• Combustion Controls
• Balance of Plant
• Protection Controls (Protection Relays)
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC Systems and/or protection equipment.
• Promotes teamwork by demonstrating effective communication skills and collaboration with peers management and the client
• Ability and willingness to travel 2540 locally and domestically.
• Proactive resourceful and highly motivated to achieve in budget and on time project success/completion.
