As the Sr. Manager Design Engineering you will lead some of the most talented engineers in the design and development of physical fulfillment systems around the globe. Key job responsibilities
Invent design and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain.
Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network through equipment specification material flow process design site layout and intellectual property considerations.
Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate highquality costeffective solutions in very short periods of time.
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing negotiating and communicating with internal and external business partners contractors and vendors.
Provide technical leadership for largescale engineering projects
Effectively communicate the vision detailed roadmap and specific technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.

Bachelors degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent OR a related field OR 2 years Amazon experience
10 years experience in the job offered or related occupation of Industrial Engineer Process Engineer Manufacturing Engineer or relate
5 years experience managing a successful team of engineers
Experience must involve technical leadership for largescale engineering project
Experience with MHE and packaging lines or process design

Masters degree in Engineering (any discipline) Operations or a related field and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
Experience with complex automated material handling equipment packaging technologies and systems including robotics and highspeed manufacturing.
Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
Capital project management skills.
DesigninSafety experience
Proficiency with concepts like system architecture optimization system dynamics system analysis statistical analysis reliability analysis and decision making.
Ability to travel up to 50 of time throughout the United States

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $155700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $269100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
