Job Purpose

Job Title: Student Engineer

Contract:**** 12 month student placement 1st September 2025 to 28th August 2026 ****

Location: Remote with regular travel across our Wales & Southwest network required.

We are currently looking for a Student Civil Engineerideally wishing to undertake an industrial year placement as part of a Civil Engineering Degree.

In the Student Civil Engineer role you will be part of a small Asset Management team working alongside highly experienced engineers from a variety of backgrounds all dedicated to preserving this important part of our industrial heritage.You will not only gain Asset Management inspection and engineering experience but knowledge of risk management repair prioritisation health & safety legislation operational support and an understanding of heritage and environmental issues.

At the Trust we offer a placement which supports the growing awareness and knowledge of many elements which are critical to ensure protection of our waterways. We promote a scheme which focuses on your professional development as well as your practical experiences.
