Principal Product Manager - Technical AWS Identity

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides developers and their organizations with foundational web services and products that enable them to innovate faster and to operate their software more cost effectively. AWS Identity teams are building secure identity authentication authorization and governance systems for the AWS Cloud. Our products provide the core authentication and authorization technologies used to access all AWS services (such as Amazon EC2 Amazon S3 and Amazon DynamoDB) and help customers meet their security requirements. We build with scale and security in mind and our systems handle over a billion requests per second.

As a product management leader you will drive our product strategy roadmap and outbound messaging for data perimeters on AWS. Data perimeters ensure that only customer trusted identities are accessing trusted resources from expected networks and has broad adoption among the entire enterprise customer segment. You will have endtoend product responsibility from working with key internal customers to making roadmap tradeoffs to delivering revolutionary new features and functionality that improve experience for endcustomers. The successful candidate will form a strategy that gets to the core of what customers value set priorities that move that strategy forward and exert influence to align diverse stakeholders. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative analytical and fastpaced environment and be comfortable interacting with highly technical crossfunctional teams. Candidates should excel at diving deep into data have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading executivelevel reviews. This is a highly strategic position that will impact the direction of AWS Identity going forward.

AWS has the most services and more features within those services than any other cloud providerfrom infrastructure technologies like compute storage and databasesto emerging technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence data lakes and Internet of Things. Whether its identity features such as access management and sign on cryptography console builder & developer tools and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems AWS Platform is innovating with the customer in mind.

Utility Computing (UC)

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
Work with the leadership team to set strategy define the product and make appropriate highjudgment tradeoffs between features and speedtolaunch
Use case prioritization feature definition ownership of the product roadmap and customer segmentation
Engage with service owners and partner teams to identify integration opportunities and drive product initiatives
Anticipate bottlenecks manage risk and escalations and balance the business needs versus technical constraints

Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Proven track record of owning large crossorganizational initiatives
Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence executive stakeholders on strategy

Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
