Senior Manufacturing Technician

The Bioprocessing Equipment and Automation Manufacturing Department located in Santa Clara CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician with experience in system level assembly and testing of bioprocessing control systems.

Position Objective

Our Santa Clara site seeks Senior Manufacturing Technician with experiences in system level assembly integration setup testing and advanced troubleshooting of automated control systems while achieving/exceeding the quality standards. Strong technical background manufacturing process oriented with the ability to participate effectively in multidisciplinary teams to address problems in manufacturing environment are essential. Experience in highly customized fast paced manufacturing environment is a plus.

What will you do

  • Build and Functional Verification testing of automated control systems and sensors
  • Assembling cabling programming controllers and debugging automated bioreactor systems based on Emerson DeltaV platform
  • Assembling modifying and debugging major subsystems
  • TruLogic (Delta V) assembly and testing
  • Modifying upgrading debugging Control Towers
  • Programming transmitters and controller options
  • Building cables hoses etc. as needed
  • Building testing and modifying Mass Flow Controller assemblies
  • Stage systems for integration and testing
  • Support Production Planning on Work Order requirements parts issued etc.
  • Support Engineering and new product introduction activities as required
  • Redline/accurate released drawings and documents
  • System teardown and preparation for the Final Quality Assurance inspection process
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting system level troubleshooting and the groups training activities
  • Perform Inprocess Quality Control Inspections on system configurations BOM controller layout and wiring schematics product travelers and workmanship standards
  • Support continuous process improvement activities
  • Support the Validation group during Factory Acceptance Testing activities as required.
  • Understand scientific principles and technical knowhow in order to proactively identify problems exercise independent judgment.
  • Demonstrate good timemanagement.
  • Additional assemblies testing and jobrelated duties as required.
  • Familiar with working in structured Agile

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Two years in a manufacturing technician role
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile
  • AS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Electronics Biology or related Military Training
  • 23 years of proven experience in manufacturing required
  • Computer proficiency especially with MS suite
  • 7S manufacturing experience
  • ISO 9001 Cerification

Physical/Environmental requirements

Physical Activities include stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting fingering grasping feeling talking hearing repetitive motions

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move products. Level of Visual Acuity Inspection Close Assembly transcription visual inspection involving small defects small parts operation of machines using measurement devices assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is working with inert gases and voltage up to 480VAC. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $22.61$33.91.
