California State Polytechnic University Pomona invites applications for a tenure trackfaculty position in the Department of Finance Real Estate and Poly Pomonais one of three polytechnic universities in the 23campusCalifornia State Universitysystem and among 12 such institutions nationwide. Since its founding in 1938 Cal Poly Pomona students participate in an integrative experiential learning education that is inclusive relevant and values diverse perspectives and experiences. Student Population.Cal Poly Pomona is the number one polytechnic university in the nation for student diversity and economic mobility. Department of Finance Real Estate and Law: The Finance Real Estate and Law (FRL) Department offers a B.S. degree in Finance Real Estate and Law serving approximately 1000 diverse students in the major. The success of our program results from our studentcentered inclusive environment and solid curriculum that integrates handson experiential learning experiences such as financial analysis and trading experience through the use of our interactive Bloomberg terminals and the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) program. Our faculty work closely with students through four awardwinning student organizations: the Finance Society; the Real Estate Association; The Society of Law Contracts and Property; and the Student Managed Investment Club (SMIC).
The FRL Department provides a supportive environment for new faculty members to grow as teacherscholars with funding opportunities for classroom modernization and instructional innovation as well as excellent research support through access to Bloomberg terminals WRDS subscription including COMPUSTAT and CRSP Databases and regular funding for conference travel. Minimum requirements include:
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. or DBA degree in Finance or a related field at the time of appointment.
