Your Role in Innovation

Be part of our client s team as a Senior Backend Engineer where youll develop highimpact userfocused features and collaborate with international teams. • As a Senior BackEnd Engineer you will help build our product by developing highimpact userfacing features.
  
• You will work collaboratively with internal and external endusers to deliver a beautiful productive and highquality solution to the market.
  
• You will work with stakeholders to drive the implementation and prioritization of major features.
  
• You will be a champion of best practices for writing welltested welldesigned and well organized code.

Responsibilities

• In your new role you will be responsible for creating maintaining and delivering support for the Optimatics Optimizer technology and software platform.
  
• You will work principally in Typescript to write user interface and business logic and youll have some influence in other parts of our technology stack as well. You will be collaborating with team members in Manila in Australia in Chicago and in London.
  
• You will interact with your stakeholders and with internal and external end users on a regular basis. You will pair and work collaboratively with your team members to work through challenges as we build out our software capabilities.
  
• Your work will involve maintenance of existing software features resolving defects testing and deploying software. You will participate in architecture and design as well as development testing and documentation. You will provide technical and code quality oversight for the work of your peers.
  
• At all times you will strive to maintain high quality of the product and to support your team members in doing the same.
  

Requirements

What We re Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• 5 years of experience developing commercial software using TypeScript.
  
• Experience with water engineering or hydraulic modeling software (preferred but not required).
  
• Strong understanding of engineering best practices in software design development and testing.
  
• Passion for building highquality software enhancing user experience and fostering a productive work environment.
  
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  
• Strong planning analytical and problemsolving skills.
  
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  
• Experience with C# .NET and WPF is a plus.
  

Bonus Skills (Not Required but Nice to Have)

• Crossplatform development experience for Windows and Linux.
  
• Proficiency in React C .NET Core ASP MVC and JavaScript.
  
• Familiarity with V8 JavaScript Engine AWS Azure MSSQL PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  
• Knowledge of QGIS and ESRI ArcGIS.
