Job Description
Come work with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers. For our Anchorage office we are seeking a Corrosion Control Engineer with at least five years of experience who wants to work and grow as a team player within our multidiscipline firm. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic as well as experience collaborating in a team environment.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting with Internal and External Corrosion Evaluations & Monitoring
- Atmospheric Corrosion Control Inspections
- Preparing and Reviewing API 570 & 653 inspection reports for technical accuracy
- Preparing calculations in accordance with API 570 & 653 standards
- Performing cathodic protection surveys for various structures (pipelines docks etc. and preparing reports
- Preparing cathodic protection system designs including drawings specifications and materials selections
- Overseeing cathodic protection system installations
- Performing site walk downs and preparing field asbuilt drawings
Qualifications :
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S. degree in engineering from accredited college or university
- API 570 or API 653 certification preferred
- NACE CP2 or higher preferred
- Oil and gas DOD and/or water/wastewater inspection corrosion control experience
- Travel perform field work and work overtime
- Valid drivers license and driving record that meets Coffmans stringent requirements
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) or eligibility to obtain a TWIC
- Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
- Competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and database programs
- Exceptional organization writing communication and project management skills
