Job Description

Supervise and assist in daily production warehouse and shipping areas including: shipping customer orders satisfying internal shipping requirements ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel and receiving in finished goods ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities. This position will flex between department and shifts as needed. 

Responsibilities:

1.      Follow all safety environmental rules and regulations applicable to the position.

2.      Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.

3.      Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety food safety environmental GMP rules regulations and policies.

4.       Delegating and assigning tasks and targets and evaluating the working of staff.

5.      Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work   practices and safety conscious behavior.        

6.      Monitor production loading and receiving operations.

7.      Receive packaged products and inbound supplies.

8.      Attend daily production/quality meetings.

9.      Crosstrain with Operations and provide backup as a Production/Warehousing Supervisor when needed.

10.  Conducts weekly tool box training.

11.  Monitor inventory.

12.  Conduct monthly inventory.

13.  Complete all associated paperwork/reports correctly to perform this position.

14.  Act as fill in for the job of Superintendent in the area in which they work in the case of an absence.


Qualifications :

Education: B.S. related degree preferred; High School diploma or relevant experience.

Related Experience: Experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment is preferred  

Equipment/Software Skills: Proficient use of MS Office Word and Excel and Prism.  Work also involves knowledge of RF/scanning inventory systems.

5.      Managing People Includes staff in planning decision making facilitating and process improvement; makes selfavailable to staff; provides regular performance feedback


Additional Information :

Physical:  Must be able to walk throughout the plant up to eightplus 8 hours at a time to include walking and climbing up/down stairs and ladders (portable fixed).

Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual hearing speaking smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals temperature etc.

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
